Quick Lore:
The land of Greece has fallen into chaos after the death of Zeus, King of the Gods. Each of the gods begin to fall into madness from the twisting power of Hades, who has stolen the power of Zeus for himself. Some of the gods have weakened and went into hiding while others decide to work alongside Hades. A mortal hero is then chosen to fight for the gods, using their gifts to cut down enemies and create a clear path to Hades. Hades is a puppet of Chaos.

Lore Update:
The Siege of Olympus began with Hades stealing the power of Apollo, Artemis’s brother. Hades began to cut down gods and goddesses with the help of Nyx and Erebus. Upon their arrival into the Hephaestus’s forge, Aphrodite quickly defended her husband using two daggers that were a gift from Hephaestus.

Hephaestus was smart enough to know that if Olympus falls, he will no longer be able to forge and create weapons with god-like power, so he cast a sword forged of Zeus’s lightning to the Earth.

The remaining gods fled Olympus or joined forces with Hades.

Music Inspiration
For my independent project I wanted to try my hand at creating characters for a video game. I wanted to focus on designing Greek Mythology type characters inspired by the game Dark Souls by FromSoftware. I want this game to mainly focus on big and challenging boss fighting and story.

My work for this project has been slow due to me always going back on designs when they are close to being finished. I have become pleased with my designs for Chaos, Arachne and Medusa so far but need a lot more time to flesh out other characters because I am just not pleased with them.

When I sat down to start designing this game, I really didn’t think it would be this much work so far, I am very tired but I recently have had a burst in creativity for this project so I hope to continue it in the future, and maybe even have a finished game down the line.

I am currently still working on lore and I started matte painting out environments but I am not pleased with their current look so I do not wish to show them yet.
